Weather is a subject very close to Peter Norvill's heart – not only because he is a farmer and grazier but also because his life as a pilot often depended on his knowledge and interpretation of wind and weather patterns.

Peter has developed a highly-refined intuition in relation to the weather, ably assisted by charts, maps and reports available on the Bureau of Meteorology website (www.bom.gov.au )

As a sheep and cattle grazier, Peter's expertise as a weather man is useful in determining when to shear, when lambing should take place, etc.

Flood 25th January, 1996 (above and below). Highest flood level here in my life time.
Previous highest according to Lionel was (1935 we think)
when it was three feet deep in the Hayshed that can be seen in
one of these scenes.

This flood would have been pretty much the same in that case
