Norville
"Norville" is the name given to the old working heart of the grazing property Rock Dhu. "Norville" consists of the historic cluster of former farm workers and shearer's accommodation including: huts, the operational shearing shed, stockyards, out buildings and the new hayshed. There are also several other new buildings, including the Wethering Heights Gallery (built on the site of the original shearing shed), the Barn, Cabin No. 5, Windows to the Stars, the Library, storage sheds and the recently completed Waterfalls Cabin (located several kilometres away at the site of three Waterfalls). The accommodation buildings are set in a line down the side of a hill overlooking the flats enclosed in a loop along Warlands Creek. The grounds include sculpture, gardens and large established trees which provide ample shade in the warmer months. In recent times "Norville" was used for artistic events and as a retreat, however these activities have currently ceased (see the "past events" page for text and images). Much of the remaining history of the property is housed in and around the grounds of "Norville" in the form of the architecture, vintage farm machinery, and in domestic objects held in The Hut (No. 2), which is now a museum commemorating the life of the property (see the "history" page for more detailed information).
