History - Dave's House Site

Was built, and occupied by Dave later 1800’s through to early 1900’s. Situated to the North West of ‘Norville’, in the paddock know as Daves. Approximately 200 mtrs west of this site, through the Rock Dhu boundary fence, is the remains of Greer’s Hut, which Dave also built for that family.

Later when Dave and family had sold and gone, Barsham, who were the new owner, pulled down Dave’s house and used material to build the Barsham Boundary Rider’s Hut (See mention of it in Elizabeth Vine drowning). The Barsham hut was still standing till the mid 1960’s when it too was pulled down and timber used to build sheep yards at the shearing shed approximately 150 mtrs North of this mentioned site.
