AUSTRALIA DAY: TRAGEDY
The Australia Day weekend in years gone by is well remembered by us for two of our biggest floods and our biggest bushfire. We now add another event, the worst of all. Included in these photos our stockman, Warren, demonstrates sheep shearing for visitors, both machine shearing and the old style, blades.
As Warren was returning home from this, his ute had a mechanical problem so he called his son, Jamie, who brought a truck to pick up the vehicle.
Fate: Later that night Jamie was killed in a paddock vehicle roll over
